An "incomplete" song, perhaps?Wyatt Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05349168671270396119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213979190640858720.post-68866130714234076912011-02-08T08:29:27.977-08:002011-02-08T08:29:27.977-08:00This is a solid analysis and interpretation of the...This is a solid analysis and interpretation of the poem "Georgia Dusk". I also agree with your beginning analysis of the setting and structure of the poem. The research you did really brings the structure of this poem to a new level of understanding. I never would have known about the musical aspect and structure of the musical scales. This would definitely provide the author a reason to write this poem with a musical background and structure. I also saw a small connection to the poem "Reapers", basically through the subject of the poem. These two poems I feel are a testament to the harsh realities of slavery. The author is able to provide a poetic structure to the poem that would mirror the singing of the African-Americans during the 19th century, and you do a great job of supporting those facts in your analysis. Great job!DHauckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14216408662712364527noreply@blogger.com
